As a child I was never allowed to ask for " frivolous" Items, like hair accessories. My family struggling to make ends meet in America, deemed such purchases unnecessary. In elementary school my bullies often wore the latest trends , sporting all the frivolous hair statements of the late ninety's. 
I was teased for my bum long hair and curls. These clips are my way of healing that little girls desire for "frivoulu" things.
